Hot-waxing is the most efficient way to lubricate a bicycle chain. Unlike traditional chain oil, hot-wax creates a dry protective layer around every link. FRENZY TrailWax takes hot-waxing a step further. Use FRENZY TrailWax with the Dip ’n Rip Travel Smelter or the FRENZY MELTLAB PRO electric hot-wax smelter. Melt the wax together with the included FRENZY Additive Dose at a temperature between 75 and 95 °C until fully homogeneous.
Ensure your chain is completely degreased and dry before waxing. Fully submerge the chain, allow the wax to penetrate every link and slowly remove it. Let excess wax drip off and allow the chain to cool and harden completely before installation.
For maintenance, simply keep the chain clean. When rewaxing is needed, repeat the hot-wax process. No degreasers, no oil, no mess.
