The FRENZY Dip ’n Rip Travel melter is a compact, sealable hot-wax melter that lets you wax your bike chain easily without electricity, wherever you are.
The FRENZY Dip ’n Rip Travel Melter proves that a simple product can be extremely well thought out. Designed by riders who want to hot-wax their chain even when travelling, this melter focuses on ease of use without compromising on proper results. It is no coincidence that several professional riders take the Dip ’n Rip with them on training camps.
The melter is used au bain-marie. Place your hot-wax inside the heat-resistant silicone container and set it in a pot of hot water. No power outlet is required, making it ideal for use at home, on holiday, in a camper or during a bike trip.
The elongated shape is a key design choice. Unlike traditional round wax containers, your chain fits naturally inside without bending or forcing. After waxing, the chain can be held above the melter so excess wax drips back in, allowing you to work cleanly and efficiently.
Once finished, the melter can be securely closed. The wax remains clean and dust-free and the melter can be placed directly into your luggage or toolbox. The Dip ’n Rip works with all types and brands of hot-wax, making it ideal both as a travel solution and as a separate wax pot for experimenting with different wax formulas at home.

Place the hot-wax in the Dip ’n Rip melter and set it in a pot of hot water until the wax is fully melted. Make sure your chain is properly degreased and completely dry beforehand. Fully submerge the chain, allow the wax to penetrate the links and slowly remove it.
Let the chain drip above the melter so excess wax is recovered. Hang the chain to allow the wax to fully cool and harden. Close the melter afterwards to keep the wax clean and dust-free for the next waxing session.
